An intrapreneurial marketing leader, team builder and people manager with over 13 years of multidisciplinary experience. Joelle dives into data, market research and solicits input to understand needs and trends, reveal opportunities and optimize strategies. At Bookmark, a global content and communications agency (part of WPP Network), she initiated and built a new marketing department to create brand awareness, disseminate thought leadership and generate demand. She introduced and implemented SEO, CRO, and digital PR tactics, increasing new business opportunities by 1,000% within the first year. Her team’s efforts surpassed revenue targets in Canada, secured the agency’s first two scalable US clients, and achieved market penetration in Asia. 

As the Director of Marketing & Growth, Joelle introduced design thinking to innovate, integrate the voice of the customer, and develop go-to-market strategies while enabling executive alignment. These strategies ultimately played a significant role in winning and scaling accounts around the world. Seeing her vision generate tangible results was a rewarding experience by meeting collective goals and her growth as a collaborative leader.

At MozCon 2019, Joelle spoke about improving the shopping experience through visual search optimization. It was the first time that visual search was presented at the conference. Since March, she has spoken at several international industry events covering topics such as social commerce, eCommerce SEO and visual search. She has also contributed content to industry blogs, magazines and podcasts.

Having led teams for over a decade, Joelle is a strong leader who invests time in coaching, developing and motivating her teams to deliver bottom line results.
